What is Tai Chi?

QiGong, also known as Chi Kung, is a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and movements to create a calm, natural balance of energy for health, healing, recreation and self-defense.
Qi - Refers to the subtle energy that gives the physical body life and vitality.
Gong - Literally means: exercise, effort, skills, repetition.

School Principle, Master Zhang Hao

At a very young age, Master Zhang Hao learnt martial arts under the guidance of his grandfather, a prominent Chinese Medical Scholar and Tai Chi Master. He won the Silver Medal at the "China National Wu Shu Competition" in 1978, and the Gold Medal for the Best Martial Arts Performance of the "China Traditional Martial Arts Tournament" in 1982.
In the same year, Master Zhang Hao graduated with High Distinction from the prestigious Beijing Institute of Physical Culture in China and was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, majoring in Chinese Bodywork Therapies, Wu Shu and Tai Chi. He was also granted the privilege of post graduate studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine Remedial Massage with one of the most highly regarded physicians in China, Dr. Li Yungchang. 
In 1983 Master Zhang Hao trained extensively in Fu Style Tai Chi with Tai Chi Grand Master Fu Yong Hui in Guangzhou. In 1987 he trained intensely with Legendary Chen Style Tai Chi Grand Master Feng Zhi Qiang in Shenzhen.
In the same year, Master Zhang Hao was also appointed Deputy Secretary General of China National Health Protection Research Society for Traditional Therapies.
In 1988, Master Zhang Hao came to Australia with the passion to promote the benefits of oriental health systems with the objective of offering high standard mind-body-spirit integration courses to attain a fulfilling lifestyle and maximise the participant's full potential in natural health and healing. 
In 1990, Master Zhang Hao established the Chi-Chinese Healing College and has become a prominent and respected leader in the fields of Tai Chi, Qigong and Traditional Chinese massage.
From 2005, the Chi-Chinese Healing College became a Government Accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91113) delivering Vocational Education Training at Certificate IV and Diploma level. From 2011, the Australian School of Remedial Therapies a subsidiary of the  Chi-Chinese Healing College was established to meet the increasing demand for therapeutic training. In 2018 the college has also increased its scope to include the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy.
